Re-Built vs Re-Manufactured
A remanufactured transmission has had all
hard parts resurfaced that show signs of wear, before fully cleaning the entire
transmission and then stress testing it to guarantee operation. There are differences
between a rebuilt and a remanufactured transmission. Remanufactured automatic
transmissions are not rebuilt – they are completely re-engineered in a factory
setting. Rebuilding is a good option in some instances, but only remanufacturing can provide the best possible longevity and operation.
